Preserving the Mushaf with care, dignity, and responsibility.
Umahaatu Kheyrdoon is built around a dedicated mission: identifying Qur'an books that need repair, restoration, preservation, or responsible replacement—helping keep the sacred text accessible for daily reading and learning across communities.

Every Mushaf in use tells a story of study, devotion, and community learning.
Why Qur'an preservation is an ongoing responsibility.
In community mosques, traditional schools (madrasas), and rural learning spaces, Qur'an books are opened and recited daily by multiple students and worshippers. Over years of devoted use, physical wear is natural.
Spines weaken, covers separate, pages become frayed, and environmental factors such as humidity and dust accelerate deterioration. When a Mushaf is left damaged, it becomes difficult to handle safely.
Our initiative approaches this with deliberate stewardship: evaluating each book, applying repair where preservation is practical, and arranging respectful replacement only when a copy has reached the end of its usable condition.
The 5-Step Qur'an Care Process
A structured, respectful workflow designed to preserve the physical life of Qur'an books.
Assess
Inspect the physical condition of the Mushaf, assessing page integrity, binding stability, cover wear, and legibility to determine the appropriate care path.
Repair
Apply respectful and careful conservation techniques—reinforcing detached pages, mending spine bindings, and restoring torn sections where practical.
Review
Confirm that completed restoration work meets dignity standards and ensures complete textual accuracy and structural resilience before returning to use.
Preserve
Support mosques, schools, and communities with appropriate storage guidance and protection to extend the long-term usable life of preserved copies.
Replace Responsibly
When a copy is severely deteriorated and beyond dignified physical repair, coordinate responsible, respectful replacement to ensure students and worshippers maintain continuous access.
