Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026 • Version 1.0 (Structural Draft)

Draft Privacy Framework:

This document represents a structural operational draft prepared for system architecture and data protection guidelines. It will be submitted for formal legal and regulatory data protection compliance review prior to enterprise production launch.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Umahaatu Kheyrdoon is dedicated to protecting the privacy and personal data of our donors, partners, and community organizers. We apply strict data minimization principles, collecting only information necessary to securely facilitate, verify, and acknowledge humanitarian contributions.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your interaction with the platform, we may collect:

  • Donor Contact Data: Name and email address when provided for receipt issuance or inquiry communication.
  • Transaction Metadata: Donation amount, timestamp, selected campaign or mission fund, and transaction reference code (payment card credentials are encrypted and processed by authorized external payment gateways; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Organizer Verification Data: Identity credentials, phone numbers, and organizational documentation submitted during the vetting process.
  • Technical Data: Browser user-agent and device characteristics necessary for platform accessibility and performance monitoring.

3. Anonymous Giving Protections

We recognize that many donors prefer to give quietly. Donors can select the “Make my donation anonymous” checkbox during contribution. When selected, your name is omitted from public donor lists, public leaderboards, and campaign walls. Your transaction receipt is maintained confidentially solely for accounting audits.

4. How We Use Collected Data

We use collected information solely for legitimate humanitarian platform operations:

  • Processing contributions and dispatching digital transaction receipts.
  • Transmitting milestone and completion updates regarding backed initiatives.
  • Responding to user support inquiries and operational questions.
  • Preventing unauthorized transactions, fraud, and platform abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to commercial third parties or advertisers.

5. Data Retention and Security Safeguards

We maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, destruction, or alteration. Financial transaction records are retained in compliance with standard non-profit accounting and auditing retention mandates, after which they are archived or securely anonymized.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request the deletion of your records where retention is not required by financial regulations. Inquiries may be submitted to our operations desk at any time.

7. Contacting the Data Protection Team

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact our team via our Contact Page or email [email protected].
